The answer is yes. There is a redundancy built into the other components to allow this to occur.
There is no instruction on how so I will try to explain.
The purpose of the connector is to help the wall hold its shape, but there are multiple parts also doing the same thing.
There are rails at the top that hold the shape of the wall. Curved at the end and slight curves between the structural posts.
The post plates at the top hold the wall against the posts
Bottom rails hold the shape of the wall at the bottom, same as the top rails
Around the end of the pool the post plates are again at the bottom holding the wall against the post
On the sides the connectors fit between the rails. They are not connected in anyway to the post and only serve to straighten the wall at the posts it keeps the shape. The wall will be loose against the base but it will be held straight.
If the connector is missing, it will still be loose at the base but there will be a slight curve in the wall where it changes direction. In practice, when the water is added, the water pressure pushes the wall against the straight surface of the post. The wall is then held straight against the post, the same way it would with the connector in place. The water pressure does the same job that the connector would do.
If your installer is happy with the explanation I have given. he can continue with the installation without the parts. If he is still concerned, he will need to wait until the replacement connectors to arrive.
